Drumin House, Glenlivet
A period, detached Georgian farmhouse, Drumin was originally built in 1819 for the factor of the Duke of Gordon.
It was built from the stones of the ruined thirteenth century Drumin Castle, which stands in the grounds, an impressive and unusual feature which is clearly seen from many rooms in the house.
Inside the accommodation comprises:
Ground floor: Impressive entrance hall, large living room, dining room with table to seat twelve comfortably and where all meals will be served, the old factor’s office which is now TV room with DVD projector, a large modern kitchen, utility room with washing machine and dryer and a downstairs cloakroom.
The house benefits from virtually all its original features including 16 open fireplaces, feature wooden ceilings, wooden floors and stunning pitch pine internal doors and central staircase.
On the first floor are five large double bedrooms and three bathrooms all of which are modernised but have retained their original features including a working open fireplace in one of the bathrooms for a real “flake “ moment at the end of a long ride.
